FluenTamil app for iPhone and iPad

This application supports you in learning the Tamil language. It can be used by native speakers as well as people who want to learn Tamil as a second or even third language.

Tamil is, like Latin, Greek, Sanskrit and many other languages, one of the classical languages. With inscriptions dating back to the third century B.C., Tamil is one of the oldest languages that is still spoken continuously without major changes. Nevertheless, it’s not as well-known as Latin or Greek. Therefore, I want to pass on my knowledge, which I have gained in Tamil over the past years.

FluenTamil teaches students Tamil through grammar inputs, tasks, vocabulary and exercises which they perform independently. This application is divided into three parts. In the first part the students will learn the letters. In the second one, which I will call Level A, learners will focus on short and simple texts and the corresponding vocabulary. Later they will learn the appropriate grammar and solve tasks related to it. Level B, the third part of the platform, has the same structure, but the texts and vocabulary are more difficult.

Students who have worked intensively with the application will be able to speak and understand Tamil.
